A cradle to nurture creative IT experts towards global eminenceDepartment of Electronic Engineering was renamed in 1969 after founding of Radio Engineering in 1965. Therefore, 2015 marked 50th anniversary of our department. The department continues to strive for global recognition building upon an impressive history of achievements. The academic fields that directly influence the forefront of industries sustaining our society and future are electronics, communication and network systems, and information technology. To meet these needs, Kyung Hee University operates College of Electronics and Information for developing expertise in these fields. Within the college, Electronic Engineering Department provides high quality engineering education to nurture creative and dedicated engineers that can lead the world in the technological development of these core areas.
The educational aim of this department is the cultivation of IT system experts with grasp of both hardware and software components. To achieve this goal, we provide a level undergraduate education that equal the leading university in the world. In particular, our curriculum reflect the reinforced hardware and software design based practical approaches and also reflects the needs of the industry by aligning and customizing our curriculum for internships and employment. In addition, we also provide courses geared to reinforce creative design capabilities and offer dual major programs to promote convergence with other departments. These efforts will fruit future leaders who can revolutionize and offer new paradigms to industries and societies. The department not only focuses on education, but also focuses on cutting edge research through cooperation with the government, research institutes, and industry.
The Department of Electronic Engineering is eagerly waiting for students who can lead the world and create new values like those of Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk in these times of absolute necessity for first movers with creative and adventurous traits.
