Department of Cultural Tourism Management

Introduction to Major

With the recent evolution of technology and media, people are spending more and more time in the online environment.

The influence of the entertainment industry as a content provider has expanded from simple information browsing and interaction(text – based) to the consumption of various content such as images / videos / games / VR.

As important motivation for travel in modern society, cultural content and entertainment elements are based on global platforms and transcend language and regional boundaries.

The Department of Culture, Tourism, and Content aims to cultivate expertise and convergent understanding in the fields of culture, tourism, and content based on theories from the humanities, social sciences, and global culture, and to cultivate convergent understanding in the fields of culture, tourism, and content based on theories from the humanities, social sciences, and global culture.

It also aims to cultivate social science researchers who will logically and systematically explore various phenomena in the field of culture, tourism, and content in society, keeping research opportunities open.

The department produces specialized talents who lead the industry as experts in academia and industry, based on the research ability and industrial understanding of culture, tourism and content.

Career Exploration / Path

Students work in the hospitality industry and in a variety of industries requiring cultural content professionals, including broadcast, video, film, arts and culture, performance, gaming, publishing, and exhibits.

As well as working as managers within the industry, graduates can choose to work as professional government employees, researchers, consultants and academics both nationally and internationally.
